Dodecanese comes from the Greek word which literally means 'twelve islands' – but amongst these there are another 150 smaller Greek islands, of which only 26 are inhabited, that lie in the sparkling blue waters of the Aegean Sea. These islands are renowned for their rich history in Byzantine art and culture.
We will also pay a visit to the Cyclades which are part of the Aegean archipelago. The Aegean cat originated from this area and the islands boast a history of magnificent Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age art and culture.
Both archipelagoes are embraced by enchanting bays which stretch out to the crystal clear waters envied by every one! The islands are well known for their picturesque villages distinguished by the whitewashed houses all huddled together perched up on top of the hills. And as night falls, you will be entertained by the attractive and excited island nightlife!
Because of their strategic position in the Aegean Sea, the islands' weather conditions are particularly favourable ranging from temperate to dry in the summer making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing, while the occasional Meltemi (a northern wind) makes the area ideal for surfing and sailing.
The "Plenis Velis" sails from Sunday to Saturday.
There are two embarkation ports: Kos (Dodecanese) and Paros (Cyclades).
Embarkation: 10 am (local time)
Disembarkation: about 09:30 am (local time)
Holidays are special moments shared with friends and loved ones and we want your Greece by Sailboat holiday to be especially memorable, enjoyable and relaxing! We want you to relish your cruise holiday therefore the sailing routes won't be too long so you can get the most out of the bays, ports and life on the island!
